Final Weston & Shipping

These are the 2 final pieces for my Weston Super-Mare project (sun, sea, beach and donkey rides) and my Shipping forecast project.

This is to be printed in the center of an A3 thin, sandy coloured paper.

But technicolour Pachyderms are really too much for me.

This little drunken moment in Dumbo used to scared the shoes off me. Though currently the tune is addictive.

This was a response of mine to a fellow student’s picture of him on a train. Guess where these luggages are heading.

Left Items Narrative

That dog narrative I posted earlier has now turned into a ‘left items narrative’. I documented the items that were intriguing that were left on the street. There were a lot, so I did have to cut it down to 10. After doing so I realised that I almost had a series of items left that correlates with humans growing up. Baby things being left behind as well as adult things.
Here are some of the images. The whole collection on my Flickr.

Had a field trip to Weston-super-mare on Friday, I will post photos when I get around to looking at and processing 325 photos that I took. I’m shutter-greedy. Was a pretty fantastical day though.

Maybe I should be more melancholy on this blog as many people seem to be.

Dog Narrative

One of our inter-semester break projects was to take 10 photographs depicting some sort of visual narrative. The images should have some sense of connection and sense of time.  I had quite a bit of trouble with this one, deciding on a good simple narrative which isn’t too complicated. Another hurdle is that it has to be photographed in an outside environment. I thought this would be a good practice of Street photography to a point, as it is a serious challenge for me.

These are some of the pictures I’ve managed to find – they have to be in B&W. I still have 3-4 more photos to go.

I have finally managed to reformat my computer. I lost my install discs at some point, but after trying 4 people’s different discs this one finally worked. I am going to burn a copy. I hope that works. I’ll try soon.

It’s so great to have a clean computer. My computer was starting to go whacky before anyways, so this is a goooooood thing. Not only that, but I have downgraded my Adobe Suite to CS2. I wanted CS3 but couldn’t find it. So this will do. I really did not like CS4. Many of my loved features went missing and in photoshop that annoying continuing scroll is irritating to no end.
Instead of helping me, it just makes me need to add several more clicks to pull it back in the right position. Those with CS4 will know what I mean.

The photos in my last post of the band has brought in several requests from other bands that want their photos done. Not bad eh? I’m quite glad and it’d be nice to build up some rep. Possibly I’ll show ya’ll when I do it. Not much new with photographs. I’ve been quite lazy really recently. My progress with Javascript has also halted. How BORING.

However I do have other things to concentrate on, like packing up my life from halls and preparing to move it all into storage. Then my holiday in Amsterdam with my boyfriend. Then Plymouth. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a job there. I could do with the money.

Check in Later.

New edits

I have been increasingly behind on my editing. I take my camera everywhere and then shoot off 200+ photos, and then having to sort through them is just dull really. But here are a few I have edited recently, though they are not necessarily taken recently.

Hope you like them,
